Souls are uniquely handcrafted one-of-a-kind spirit dolls made from
gathered objects, natural materials and recycled textiles. Old Souls
have 5” x 7” bodies filled with one of the following
natural materials: lavender, rosemary, bay, herbal teas, cocoa bean
hulls, coffee bean parchment and sand.
The lavender, bay, rosemary and tea are harvested
and processed from our property high in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
The coffee bean parchment and cocoa bean hull fill come from Hawaiian
plantations and local garden suppliers.
Old Souls contain a variety of nuts, seeds,
pods, flowers, sticks, bark, moss, shells, kelp, feathers, fur and
more. The hair and beards of the Old Souls are made from natural

wool, alpaca hair, horsehair, plant fibers and
cotton. These unique embellishments give each Old Soul their individual
charm.
Old Souls were inspired by the richness of plant
life and nature that surrounds us. The process of gathering materials
and the creation of Old Souls brings a spiritual connection to those
who embrace them, and gives each Old Soul a voice.
Old Souls artist Shellie Lee lives with her
husband, Dennis, in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California. Her
family has a home in Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. Shellie travels
extensively seeking out natural materials from the mountains, the
islands of Hawaii, and all along the western coast of the United
States.
Old Souls can be displayed individually
on stands or used as ornaments, wreath elements or alter pieces.
Old Souls are intended for adults and for decorative display only.
